Capacity Building Supports - Improved Relationships

This is the ninth instalment in our NDIS Funding Categories series where we discuss what plan categories are available and what they can be used for.

The first 4 blogs in the series covered Core Supports and we've now moved on to Capacity Building Supports. The fifth instalment in the Capacity Building series is about Improved Relationships funding.

Part 9 - Improved Relationships

The NDIS describe Improved Relationships funding as support that will 'help you develop positive behaviours and interact with others'. These support items may include specialist behavioural intervention support, which is an intensive support for the participant that intends to address significantly harmful or persistent behaviours of concern.

Behaviour support requires a behaviour support plan to be developed that aims to limit the likelihood of behaviours of concern developing or increasing once identified.

In most cases, behaviour support plans must be developed by NDIS registered providers.
