NDIS Price Guide Changes 2022
On 22 June 2022, the NDIS released their annual price guide changes that took effect on 1 July 2022.
The new price guide included some big changes for participants and providers alike, some of the biggest are detailed below.
An increase to price limits for services delivered by disability support workers by 9% to address known cost pressures on providers, including changes to the SCHADS award, costs associated with managing the COVID-19 pandemic, NDIS quality and safeguards regulatory requirements, Fair Work Commission's recent wage decision and the superannuation guarantee charge increase.
Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) loading will reduce to 3.0% on 1 July 2022, then 1.5% on 1 July 2023, reducing to 0% on 1 July 2024.
COVID-19 booster payment for disability support workers has been extended to 31 August 2022.
Improved Daily Living codes for other therapies to be removed and replaced with specific codes for each type of therapy.
Short notice cancellation periods have increased from 2 days to 7 clear days.
These changes pose some big adjustments for providers and participants alike, with plans needing to be re-budgeted to accommodate the likely change in support worker rates, and therapy providers needing to update their invoicing systems to account for the correct line item codes.
